Shelby Lee Adams just posted some new color photographs on his blog. Some of these are clearly process photos, while others carry on the aesthetic devices and themes of his older work. It’s interesting to see how the work changes compared with his older black and white images, and the new reference points they draw (I’m primarily thinking about Eggleston).

On a related note, Adams will be in NYC next weekend, teaching a workshop on environmental portraiture at Aperture Foundation.
